Our 5 favourite restaurants in the Liverpool Docks for a good family lunch
Looking for a restaurant in the Liverpool Docks? You are spoilt for choice. Here are our top five favourites for a good meal out for all the family, including the dog!
1. PEABERRY COFFEE HOUSE
Situated in the historic Royal Albert Dock, the most famous of the Liverpool Docks, the Peaberry Coffee House is a welcome retreat from pounding the pavement as a tourist. With a quiet and laid back atmosphere, the Peaberry serves up breakfast, lunch and dinner which will hit the spot on a day out exploring the Royal Albert Dock.

2. DELIFONSECA’S DOCKSIDE
Delifonseca’s Dockside restaurant has been a locals-only secret up until now. Newly built in 2019, it is a great place to stop for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Complimenting the restaurant is their foodhall which is a combination of a farm shop and a European deli. They stock their shelves with the best from around the world including local British items. Only a five-minute walk way, Delifonseca is located at the end of where we are moored in the Brunswick Dock.

3. MOOSE COFFEE
Moose Coffee actually has a few locations across Liverpool, Manchester and Leeds but our favourite is the Liverpool Dock location in the Princes Dock. Founded in 2006, Moose Coffee brings a Canadian/American-influenced breakfast and brunch menu to life with fluffy pancakes and their own Moose blended coffee. There is parking in the Princes Dock or if you choose to walk, it is a good 25-minute walk from where we are moored.

4. FLOATING GRACE
You can get more waterfront than to be dining on a boat. The Floating Grace is Liverpool’s only floating restaurant and bar boat. During each of the three-course dinner or two-course lunch cruises, they sail through all eight of Liverpool’s docks right up to where we are moored at the Liverpool Marina. Serving Sunday lunch, Afternoon tea and Dinner menus, you must book ahead on their website.

5. THE YACHT CLUB BAR & GRILL
We couldn’t do a list of our favourite waterfront restaurants in Liverpool without mentioning our local haunt, The Yacht Club Bar & Grill. Located only a minute’s walk from the Liverpool Boat, it is our go-to place for breakfast, lunch, dinner and their homemade Sunday Roast Dinner. With a large outside seating area as well as plenty of space inside, The Yacht Club is open to anyone with something for everyone including the dogs!
